What to Expect
When You Reach Out
Many people hesitate to contact a financial advisor because they don’t know what the experience will feel like. Here is exactly what you can expect when you reach out to BFG — no surprises, no pressure, no obligation.
A member of the BFG team will review your inquiry and contact you to schedule a brief introductory conversation. All information shared in initial consultations is held in strict confidence.
When you contact BFG by phone or email, a member of the BFG team reviews your inquiry and follows up to schedule a conversation.
That initial response is simply to acknowledge your inquiry and schedule a brief introductory call if you haven’t already spoken with someone. The purpose of that call is straightforward: to understand what brought you to BFG, answer any immediate questions you have, and determine a time for the Initial Consultation that works with your schedule.
You will not be asked for account numbers, Social Security numbers, or financial documentation at this stage. You will not be asked to make any decisions. The first contact is simply a conversation.
Yes—the Initial Consultation is complimentary, with no obligation of any kind. Its purpose is to understand what brought you to BFG, discuss your goals and questions, and determine whether working together makes sense for both sides.
BFG’s expectation after the initial consultation is simple: that you leave with a clearer picture of your situation and a genuine sense of whether working with BFG feels like the right fit. If it does, we move forward at a pace that is comfortable for you. If it does not, we part ways with no hard feelings and no invoice.
If at any point in the process you decide not to proceed, you are free to say so — and BFG will respect that decision completely. There is no follow-up pressure, no “closing” attempt, and no obligation created by attending any meeting.
Your privacy is both a legal obligation and a core value at BFG. Financial advisors and broker-dealer representatives are subject to strict federal privacy regulations — including Regulation S-P, which governs the privacy of consumer financial information — that require the safeguarding of your personal and financial data and restrict its use and disclosure.
In practical terms, this means:
- Information you share with BFG is used solely for the purpose of serving your financial planning needs
- Your personal financial information is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes
- BFG maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect client information
- You have the right to receive BFG’s Privacy Notice, which details how your information is collected, used, and protected
If you would like to receive a copy of BFG’s Privacy Notice before your initial consultation, please contact the office directly and it will be provided to you immediately.
The initial consultation exists precisely to answer this question — and the answer is almost always more nuanced than “yes” or “no.”
Financial planning is most valuable at inflection points: approaching retirement, navigating a career change, receiving an inheritance, evaluating early retirement, managing a business transition, or simply recognizing that your current approach lacks clarity. Some of those situations involve significant existing assets. Others do not yet — but will.
BFG does not advertise a minimum asset threshold as a barrier to the initial consultation. If you are uncertain whether your situation is a fit, the most straightforward way to find out is to schedule that first conversation. It costs nothing, carries no obligation, and will give you a clear sense of whether and how BFG can be useful to you at this stage of your financial life.
If BFG is not the right fit for your current situation, we will tell you honestly — and, where possible, point you toward resources that are appropriate for where you are today.
BFG can be reached in several ways. A member of the team will review your inquiry and follow up using the contact information you provide.
- Phone: (937) 432-6585 — the most direct route for time-sensitive questions. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm EST.
- Email: help@bayerfinancialgroup.com—appropriate for general questions and consultation requests.
- Online inquiry form: The form layout is available for review, but online submission is not currently configured. Please use the phone number or email address above to contact the BFG team.
If you reach the office outside of business hours, please leave a voicemail or send an email and a member of the team will follow up the next business day.
There is no wrong way to reach out. Whether you have a specific question, a general concern, or simply want to see if BFG could be the right fit — start the conversation. That is what the first contact is for.
Client relationships evolve over time — through life changes, financial changes, and sometimes simply a change in needs or preferences. BFG’s position on this is direct: a financial advisory relationship should serve the client, and if it no longer does, both parties are best served by acknowledging that honestly.
Clients in an advisory relationship with BFG have the right to terminate that relationship at any time. The process for doing so is outlined in the advisory agreement provided at the initiation of the relationship. Advisory fees are typically charged on a periodic basis and are prorated upon termination — meaning you are not locked into a long-term commitment with significant financial penalties for leaving.
If your needs evolve in a way that BFG is well-positioned to serve — a new phase of retirement, a business sale, an inheritance — we will adapt the relationship accordingly. If your needs evolve in a way that would be better served by a specialist in a different area (estate law, tax advisory, long-term care planning), BFG will acknowledge that clearly and, where appropriate, coordinate with the professionals who can help.
